There is information overload about the global climate transition and you’re craving a simple, easy-to-read summary of the key aspects of this transition.

New policies are being rolled out, practically every day. Estimates show that about $1 trillion is being spent every year to combat climate change and this is only one-sixth of what is actually needed. Aren’t you curious to know where this money is coming from? Is this money going to make a difference in the lives of people in historically overlooked communities? Is there any oversight on how these funds are deployed?

All public companies now have some ESG goals. Do you know what they are and how these companies are performing against their own goals? Where do you even find them? What are the commonly used tools in the toolkit for organizations trying to meet their ESG goals?

Recruitment for jobs in sustainability is at an all-time high. If you are not in one of these roles, are you curious to know if you stand a chance or how to begin?

Are these questions you’ve had? I created this newsletter as a way to shed light on these topics.

The effects of each of these interlocking pieces of the broader climate story are less than one degree apart. The effect of just one degree of change down the road is substantially greater than you think.

Whether you're a climate enthusiast, policymaker, or just someone curious about the planet's future, subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and publication archives.

Who am I?

I have spent over 18 years at the intersection of climate tech and climate strategy. With the staggering levels of investment in this sector combined with ambitious corporate ESG/decarbonization roadmaps, I am passionate about delving into the complexities of this energy transition.

I’ve worked in the private and public sectors, for startups and large organizations, and across various flavors of technologies. I started in solar when there were 4 solar companies in the US (and less than handful in China) and have had a front-row seat to this transition in various capacities.

Why write this newsletter now? I’ve noticed that people are overwhelmed with the information and the ever changing dynamics in this industry. Questions I get a lot are; (1) how do I get a job in this industry? (2) what are the funding sources? (3) what kind of oversight exists in this industry? (3) who are the key players? (4) what are the reporting frameworks? (5) what are the different types of climate mitigation and adaptation strategies? I intend to document my thoughts about these topics and much more, weekly. If you don’t want to be left out, subscribe now!

If you enjoy reading what I write about, please share with a friend.
